I have worked in television as a director and cameraman for the past twenty five years. Prior to that I graduated in history with a BA(Hons) degree from the University of Cape Town.
Originally I worked as a freelance news cameraman for several international networks including CBS, Reuters and BBC.
From 1995-8 I recorded the testimonies of over sixty Holocaust survivors for the Los Angles based Visual History Foundation. This worldwide project ultimately recorded the experiences of 52000 survivors and I filmed the South African leg of the project. At present the entire collection is being uploaded onto an on-line data base.
Past corporate clients include BP, DHL Couriers and LG Electronics. I have filmed or directed about fifty corporate productions and commercials.
Over the past decade I have worked as a documentary director/ cameraman in Russia, China, Antarctica, Greenland, Ethiopia, Madagascar and the UK.
In 2010 I directed a fund raising film for the University of Oxford. This production helped the university reach their fund raising target of 100 million USD.
In 2011 I directed a feature documentary: The Meaning of the 21st Century. The narrator is Michael Douglas. The Producer is James Martin, a pioneering IT figure who recently donated 100 million dollars to Oxford University to fund basic research in the life sciences and alternative energy.
